Moments and the Gallery
Version 1 · Last updated 7 October 2026
The Gallery shows your photos one Moment at a time — a Moment is the photos taken together, on one day or one outing.
Choosing a Moment
The Gallery opens empty. Tap the calendar at the top left to see your Moments, newest first, and pick one. The ‹ and › arrows beside the date move to the earlier and the later Moment. Tap All Moments to see the whole library at once (a big library takes a few seconds; the card says so); picking a Moment turns it off again.
The Moment header
Beside the date are two small icons: the face opens Name the Faces for this Moment, and the tag opens Describe the Moment. See Naming the faces and Describing a Moment.
Marked photos
Swipe a photo up to mark it (thumbs up), down to hide it from Memories (thumbs down). The N Marked pill shows how many are marked across the whole library; tap it to see only them. Marked photos are the set a new Memory is made from — see Making a Memory.
Selecting photos
Tap a photo to select it; keep dragging to select more. A row appears under the header: Select All / Unselect All (what is on screen), Mark Selected (thumbs up on the selection only), Unmark All (clears every mark in the whole library; nothing else changes), and Share. The bar at the bottom offers what you can do with the selection: Info and Find Moment (one photo), Tag, Rotate, Set Date, Stitch (videos), Move to Bucket, Delete, Make a Video.
Opening a photo
Tap a selected photo, or double-tap any photo, to see it full screen. Swipe between photos, pinch to zoom, pull down to close. A LIVE pill plays a Live Photo. If the full-size picture cannot be shown, the caption under it says why — see When something looks wrong.
The badges on a photo
A small mark in the corner tells you what a photo is: video, LIVE, stitched, used in a Memory, in a Bucket, a scanned print, or Aa when Livo has read text on it.
