When something looks wrong
Version 1 · Last updated 7 October 2026
Livo says why, rather than failing quietly. Here is what the messages mean and what to do.
“Showing the small copy”
Open a photo full screen and, if the full-size picture cannot be shown, the caption under it says why: the photo is not in Photos on this phone (it was deleted, or is still in iCloud); Livo has no access to Photos (Settings › Apps › Livo › Photos); OneDrive cannot be reached, or needs you to sign in again. Livo shows its own small copy meanwhile; your names and story are safe either way.
Find this photo
Under that caption, Find this photo looks in Photos for the same picture — by its fingerprint first, then among photos taken at the same moment — shows you what it found beside Livo’s copy, and re-links it only when you tap Use this one. If the photo is still downloading from iCloud, let Photos finish and try again.
A dashed square
A tile with a dashed question mark is a photo Livo has no picture for at all. Its story and tags are kept; open it and use Find this photo.
Activity
Organize › Activity shows everything Livo is doing in the background — an import, a backup, a share to the family, the Vault’s copies — with progress, failures and Pause or Stop. The line under the Gallery header opens it. Pausing always says what happens next.
Stop means stop
When you stop a job, what was finished stays and what was in progress is discarded; nothing half-done is kept.
Reaching us
Settings › About › Send Feedback opens a mail to [email protected] with the build and your phone’s details already filled in. Say what you tapped and what happened; a screenshot helps. Or write to [email protected].
