Making a Memory
Version 1 · Last updated 7 October 2026
A Memory is a set of photos in order, a story, and — if you like — your own voice telling it.
From marked photos
Mark the photos you want (swipe up in the Gallery), then tap New Memory on the marked row, or + on Memory Lane. The canvas opens with your marked photos in the order they were taken; the first is the hero.
The canvas
Write the Story (type or dictate). Long-press a photo to make it the hero; swipe a photo left to take it out; Add from Library brings more in. The Memory Date is the date the Memory is about — Livo sets it from the earliest photo, and you can change it. Save keeps it; a new Memory then asks whether to clear your marks.
If some photos are no longer on this phone, Save says so and offers Find Them (see When something looks wrong) or Save Anyway, using Livo’s small copies.
Narration
On the Memory’s screen, tap Record to tell the story in your own voice. Listen back, then Keep, Record Again or Discard. The recording is kept with the Memory and travels in its Time Capsule.
Share as Video
Share › Share as Video renders the Memory as a video — the hero with the title as the first frame, each photo in turn, your narration over it — and offers the share sheet: Save Video, AirDrop, Messages, Mail, Files, and Share to Family. The file is named after the Memory and the date, and it plays anywhere.
Editing later
Every Memory stays editable: open it from Memory Lane, tap Edit. Editing never changes your marked photos. Putting the photos in a different order is coming.
