Family Share
Version 1 · Last updated 7 October 2026
Each family member has a Livo Family Share folder in their own OneDrive. You write in yours; the family reads it. Nothing goes through a server.
Setting up
Open Settings › OneDrive Accounts › Family Share. The screen looks at your OneDrive and tells you, in three parts, what is already in place, what Livo will do when you tap Set Up (make your Livo Family Share folder, share it with the family as view-only, write the family list into it), and what you do next. One person — the organizer — can sign in every family account on one phone and set them all up at once, then sign the others out; or each person does their own. Livo never removes anyone from a folder’s sharing.
Sharing
Share to Family is in every Livo share sheet — a Memory video, a capsule, a photo or video from the viewer, a Gallery selection. Tap it and the upload runs in the background (Organize › Activity shows it; the Gallery line shows the progress); if the phone sleeps or the network drops, it carries on where it left off. When it is done, Tell the Family opens Messages or Mail with a ready note and a link.
A Memory video shared this way is a plain video the family can play in the OneDrive app, Livo or not. A capsule is what they import into their own Livo.
What the family shared
Open Organize › Family. One section per family member, newest first, with NEW on what arrived since you last looked, and “In your Livo” on what you already have. Add to Livo on a photo or video puts it in your Camera Roll and your Gallery with the sender’s date, story, people and place. Add to My Livo on a capsule brings it in as described in Sending to someone. Play and View just look.
The Organize book and the Gallery’s + carry a badge when the family has shared something new; Import from Family Share under + brings in everything new at once. While Livo is closed, a quiet notification may tell you the family shared something.
Clearing your folder
Settings › OneDrive Accounts › Family Share › Clear Family Share deletes the files you shared from your own folder, after asking. It never touches anyone else’s.
