OneDrive and your accounts
Version 1 · Last updated 7 October 2026
Livo works without OneDrive. With it, you get photos from OneDrive, backups off the phone, a second copy of every capsule, and Family Share.
Signing in
Open Settings › Data › OneDrive Accounts and tap Add Account. Microsoft’s own sign-in runs inside Livo; Livo never sees your password. You can add more than one account; one is active for import, and photos remember which account they came from. Choose Folders picks what to import; Reset import progress starts an import over.
Needs sign-in
Microsoft asks for a new sign-in after a password change, after 90 days without use, or on a new phone. The account’s row then reads Needs sign-in with a Sign in again button; the account, its photos and its folders are kept. “OneDrive can’t be reached right now” means no network; Livo shows the small copies meanwhile.
Livo’s folders in your OneDrive
Livo makes these at the top of your OneDrive, only when you use the feature, and writes only inside them:
- Livo Backup — your backups; private.
- Livo Vault — a copy of every Time Capsule you seal.
- Livo Keepsakes — a copy of each Keepsake, written once and never deleted.
- Livo Family Share — what you share with the family; shared with them as view-only.
- Livo Sent — capsules you sent as a link.
None of them is ever imported as photos. Livo deletes inside them only what you ask it to (a backup, your Family Share files, a deleted capsule’s Vault copy), and never in anyone else’s OneDrive.
