Sending to someone

Version 1 · Last updated 7 October 2026

A capsule you send is a file. The person opens it in Livo with one tap, or in any browser without Livo at all.

Send to a Livo

Open the Vault, tap a capsule, then Send to a Livo…. Send as a File puts the capsule in the share sheet — AirDrop, Messages, Mail, Files. Send as a OneDrive Link uploads it to your OneDrive’s Livo Sent folder and shares a link with a short note on how to open it. For the whole family at once, use Family Share.

Export (also on the capsule’s screen) saves a copy named so that anyone can tell what to do with it: “Livo Capsule - Ken Jones - Friday Night - 2026-10-03 - UNZIP, then open START HERE.zip”.

Receiving a capsule

Tap a capsule file in Messages, Mail, AirDrop or Files and Livo opens it: “Ken sent you a Memory”, with its name, what is in it and when it was sealed. Tap Add to My Livo. The capsule goes into your Vault; its photos go into your Camera Roll and your Gallery, in the Moment of the day they were taken; the people and places it names are matched to yours or created; and the Memory appears in Memory Lane with “From Ken”. Not Now changes nothing. Keep this forever (a Keepsake) is offered at the same time.

A photo you already have is recognised and never added twice, even if it arrives again in another capsule.

Stop while adding keeps the photos already added and makes no Memory; the capsule’s own screen in the Vault carries on where it stopped (Add to My Livo).

Without Livo

Unzip the file on any computer and open START HERE - open with any web browser.html. The photos, the story, the narration and the video are all there.
