Finding photos
Version 1 · Last updated 7 October 2026
Filter narrows the Gallery by what you pick. Livo Search finds photos from a few words you type or say.
Filter
Open the Filter from the funnel at the top left of the Gallery. Pick people (any of them, or all of them together), places, tags, a year, month or day, and switches such as Favorites Only, Hide Thumbs Down, Faces Not All Named, No Faces, No Place, From Family Only, Scanned Prints Only, Photos or Videos. The filter keeps the Moment you are in and skips Moments with nothing in them; a banner at the top says what is on, and its ✕ clears it. The same filter also narrows Memory Lane.
Livo Search
Tap Search in the bottom bar (open Livo Search) and type or say a few words — a name, a place, a word from a story, a word from a scanned print, or a date. Livo looks for the whole phrase in five fields: Story, Tag, Person, Place and Text. A pill for each field shows how many photos it found; tap a pill’s ✕ to leave that field out. The results show in the Gallery under the filter banner.
Dates work when the wording is clearly a date: “last summer”, “Christmas 2019”, “when Elise was 5”, “when Tom was born”, “since 2020”. Everything else is a word search. Livo Search only finds; it never changes anything.
Finding one photo’s Moment
With one photo selected, Find Moment jumps to the Moment it belongs to and scrolls to it. On the Memory canvas, tapping a photo does the same.
