Trash, and what Livo never deletes
Version 1 · Last updated 7 October 2026
Deleting in Livo is two steps, and the second always says exactly what it does.
Two steps
Deleting a photo, Memory, capsule, person or place moves it to Organize › Trash, where it waits until you Restore it or Empty Trash (or Delete Forever on one item). The Trash never empties itself.
What Empty Trash removes
- A photo: Livo’s record and its small copy. The photo in Photos or OneDrive is untouched, and Livo remembers not to import it again.
- A Memory: the story, order and narration.
- A Time Capsule: its record and its file on this phone (a Keepsake’s copy in OneDrive is never removed).
- A person or place: the entry itself. Restoring a merged person or place undoes the merge.
The confirmation names the consequence for that kind of thing.
What Livo never deletes
Your photos and videos in Photos. Anything in OneDrive outside Livo’s own folders, or in another person’s OneDrive. Anything in a Vault place you chose. A Keepsake file. A capsule file you opened from the Files app. Nothing is ever deleted on its own, on a schedule, or because space is low.
